Activities:
Fairy Tale Fun Day!
For our young learners, fairy tales can be a fun and engaging way to learn English. This year at KTGPS we introduced these short and simple stories to students in class. We invited our students to discover the magic of fairy tales with reading baskets, crafts and games.
Our English team constructed castles and decorated our school campus with vocabulary words and characters. Our students were ‘wild’ about reading and they also wore colourful socks to celebrate this special day. We hope that these stories will continue to inspire, motivate and nurture their love of reading!
A Spook-tacular Halloween!
As part of our English curriculum we learn about Halloween and a variety of vocabulary words and expressions. Students get to use what they have learned during our Halloween party. We created a festive environment by decorating the school, corridors and classrooms with familiar Halloween characters, ghosts and monsters. Our teachers, staff and students got into the festive mood by wearing fall colours and Halloween costumes. Our English team visited each classroom to sing, play and speak English with students. The children loved to laugh, play and speak in English during the games, crafts and hilarious Halloween videos. We hope that students will continue to enjoy using English in their daily lives! We know that this experience will enrich their learning and create fond memories of learning at KTGPS! Happy Halloween!
